WebCalendar Shared Diary System
We install a shared diary system called WebCalendar for customers. We also use it ourselves. It's a web based system so it can be run on your intranet web server or out on the Internet on your web server. This latter route works very well if you need people at multiple locations (including at home) to be able to access the diary system.
Because it's web based you need no special software on your PC, just a web browser - you can even access it from a PC which isn't yours, in a web café for example. And because it's password protected it's secure: only people you want to be able to view the diary can.
Standard features of WebCalendar include:
- Multi-user support
- Multi-lingual support. The current list includes: Chinese(Big5), Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Icelandic, Italian, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Turkish
- View day-at-glance
- View month-at-glance
- View week-at-glance
- View year-at-glance
- View another user's calendar (with restrictions on the viewing of confidential entries)
- View one or more users' calendar via layers on top of your own calendar
- Add/Edit/Delete users
- Add/Edit/Delete events

We can set up WebCalendar for you on your web site. We didn't write WebCalendar but it's GPL software so we can also enhance it to fit your particular requirements, something we've already done for customers such as Ormiston Children & Families Trust for example where we integrated it with their intranet.
