The cam.* Usenet news groups, cam.announce, cam.misc, cam.transport, cam.sug, and cam.test have their own "FAQ" a list of answers to frequently asked questions. The Hug coordinated the creation of the FAQ, created the pages devoted to it and provided the web space to host it. We continued to update the FAQ on a regular basis for seven years from 1997 to 2004.

In July 2004 we acquired the domain misc.org.uk, hosted it on our colo server, installed a Wiki on the sub-domain cam.misc.org.uk and transferred all the content from the FAQ to there. Using a Wiki (another sort of content management engine) allows all the readers of the cam.* news groups to participate in updating the FAQ.
