HARP

HARP line logo   Help and Advice for Relatives of Prisoners provide information and support for anyone who has a close relative or friend in prison.

They operate a free and confidential telephone help-line service, for the families and friends of prisoners and for professionals in the field. HARP is managed by the Ormiston Children and Families Trust.

The HARP web site provides another means of providing information, with answers to frequently asked questions and a searchable database of other providers of support. It is funded by the Government's Invest To Save Budget.

This web site is the third we have developed using the Opus content management engine. Using Opus means that HARP can update the information on the site themselves - including the database.

E-Commerce Awards 2002

E-commerce Awards 2002 In July 2002 this site came second in the Eastern Region, Voluntary & Community category of UK Online for Business' E-Commerce Awards, winning the Highly Commended award.

Richard Kneller, UK online for business adviser for Essex said: "The outstanding quality of entries in the region made this year's judging process incredibly challenging. The level and use of Internet technologies across the four categories was very impressive, showing that smaller organisations recognise the benefits technology can offer. Our congratulations to the winners who, we felt, encompassed exactly what the E-Commerce Awards looks for - the successful and innovative use of new technologies to transform their organisations."

The E-Commerce Awards are sponsored nationally by the Royal Bank of Scotland Group and Cisco Systems.

Prisoners' Families Helpline
