Remote Control

Sometimes, in order to help you with a problem, we may want to take control of your PC so we can see what you are seeing or guide you through a problem. We do this using some software called VNC. You download and run the software on your PC and it then calls our PC across the Internet. Once a connection is established we can see what you are seeing and we can move your mouse pointer and enter text.

To begin the process you must click the link below:

Connect via VNC

A popup window will appear which will ask "Do you want to run or save this file?". Click the "Run" button.

Another popup window will appear which will say "The publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to run this software?". Click the "Run" button.

A window will appear briefly and then disappear leaving a little "Uvnc" icon in your toolbar.

We should now have a connection. You can close the connection at any time by clicking on the icon and selecting "Close" but normally we will close it when we have finished our work.

When the connection closes the software is deleted leaving no software on your PC.
