Ormiston's New Intranet Goes Live

With timing which some of us questioned Ormiston Children & Families Trust's new intranet went live on 1st April. Despite the possible foolishness of doing so it all went very smoothly!

Ormiston have had their "intranet" for some years now. It's really an extranet because Ormiston has around 200 people working in projects all over East Anglia. Their intranet gives them access via their web browser to variety of facilities including a noticeboard, shared diary, address book, email and a document store. It used to look like this:

We've now upgraded it with the new design below to add a lot more information, stored under the dark blue tabs at the top, while retaining all the original facilities.

The result is a web site which not only looks a lot cleaner but makes it easier for users to find what they're looking for.
